Schertz and Cibolo are known for being family and business friendly; offering  the convenience of nearby shopping, entertainment, recreation and more. This area is located in the northeast section of the San Antonio Metro Area in Bexar and Guadalupe counties.

Schools

Students attend Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District (SCUCISD) in this area, which also serves Universal City, Selma, St. Hedwig and occasionally Randolph Air Force Base. This district is growing and currently has 8 Elementary Schools, 3 Intermediate Schools, 2 Junior High Schools and 3 High Schools.

Employers

Amazon, FedEx, Caterpillar, GE Oil & Gas (Baker Hughes) and nearby military bases are among the top major employers in the Schertz and Cibolo area. Given their close proximity to both Randolph AFB and Brooks City Base, both communities have made a name for themselves as great places for retired and active-duty veterans to call home.

EVO Entertainment is your one-stop-shop for all things entertainment in Schertz. Featuring a dine-in movie theater, bowling, arcade games and party rooms. Similarly, Santikos Entertainment offers a wide range of movies to enjoy with the family or a date night. Animal World & Snake Farm is also among the top destinations in town for family friendly entertainment, with a little education on the side!

Outdoor Recreation

Crescent Bend Nature Park in Schertz offers visitors walking trails, wildlife and playground for children on more than 190 acres. Pickrell Park has an outdoor swimming pool, basketball courts and picnic facilities, and also hosts festivals and city events throughout the year. There is a park for everyone: Veteran Memorial Parks to honour our military, playgrounds for children, skate park, dog park for our furry friends and several sports complexes. There are more than 15 parks in the area to enjoy.

Shopping

Cibolo Grange Farmers Market, located in downtown Cibolo, is a favorite amongst residents for local food, shopping, handmade boutique items and fun activities. For larger box stores, The Forum at Olympia Parkway is a short drive and rests between the San Antonio and Schertz city limits at I-35 and Loop 1604.
